A NOTE FROM MELVIN MAROONED

I'm not an author by profession, but any story that sounds crazy is worth telling.  Besides, I am terrified that my life at age thirty six will be cut short and the truth as I have lived it must be told.  I have changed the names of people and times to protect the guilty.  Yes, the guilty.  Unfortunately, we are all guilty of something, mostly greed.

I have always considered myself street smart and educated.  This would turn out to be my first and most frequent mistake.

This is a story about a trusting fool and all the fools he has met along the way.  My name is Melvin Marooned.  I am fool number one (FOOL #1) and I wish this wasn't my story.
